Christmas - Herman Style

December 28, 2011 - After our whirlwind of papers made it to the post office, we grabbed a few hours of shut eye and then headed off on a road trip. Destination: Indiana. We were going to spend 5 days with our Herman side of the family for Christmas. This trip is one of the highlights of our kids' year. I must say they handle the nearly 12 hour drive rather well (thank you Adventures in Odyssey and DVD players). I always look forward to time with my family, but it never seems long enough. My sister comes from Maryland with her family and we all meet in Indiana to spend as much time together as we can. Our time in Indiana usually involves shopping with my mom, my 2 sisters, and my sister-in-law, eating great food, talking, playing games, and keeping all the cousins under control. : )

Unfortunately the stomach bug traveled with us to Indiana. The first night we arrived in Indiana Aiden was up all night getting sick. Not a good way to start our time together. The bug traveled to several in the family throughout the week. My brother, his wife, and their son were out of commission for a few days. Bummer!

It was a wonderful time together! The support that my family has shown me over the years is amazing and they continue to be supportive even from miles away. Here are few pictures of our time together:
